Installation & Maintenance Guide

Installation:

• First you should check out your truck service manual instructions, ensuring the complete air pressure is released from the air dryer to prevent potential injuries.
• After the depressurization, disconnect the electrical connector and air line from the existing purge valve and unscrew the mounting bolts holding the existing purge valve in place.
• Avatar the older one is removed, now you can position the new 12 Volt purge valve kit in place ensuring its proper alignment.
• Secure the unit with mounting bolts and tighten them to the specified interval, don’t try to tighten it extra.
• Reconnect the air line and electrical connector just by following the same configuration as the previous unit was installed.
• Finally start the engine and check the proper operation of the air dryer system, you have to listen for any usual noise or check for any sort of potential leaks.

Maintenance

• The purge valve within the purge valve kit must be inspected periodically to detect signs of wear and tear, malfunction, or any potential damage. Just consult your truck’s service manual for the same.
• Since, the heater/thermostat is crucial for preventing freezing and maintaining optimal operating temperature even in the harshest environmental conditions so it must be checked and maintained frequently.
• There is no specific schedule for the housing so you can perform a visual inspection during replacements or perform system checks to ensure that it is free from cracks, or other damages which can affect internal components.

Note: Before servicing the air dryer system, ensure all air pressure is released to prevent injuries.
